SurfStatsLive Server Administration
Introduction
A Server Administrator administers the SurfStatsLive Service at a global level by setting global
options, creating profile groups, profile administrators, site profiles and monitoring the
SurfStatsLive Service. You can log in as a Server Administrator and the Server Administration
web interface is displayed in your browser as follows if the username, password and user type
combination was correct:

Site Profiles
A site profile specifies a set of parameters used by SurfStatsLive to determine the location of
one or more set(s) of log files (called log sources), what to extract from the log sources, what
logo to use when generating reports, a profile name, a password etc. SurfStatsLive stores the
information about site profiles in the site profile databases. An end user (also called a
SurfStatsLive user) logs into the SurfStatsLive Service with a profile name and password and
views reports based on the information contained in the specific site profile database. A
process that runs on the server updates the site profile databases (the Setup and
Administration Guide provides more detail about this).
